Bespoke character illustrations for an alternative concept

For this concept, I explored mythical creatures from Nordic folklore. As many of the creatures found in these tales and legends were quite terrifying and definitely not child-friendly, I designed my own. Using nordic colours and woodland themes, I illustrated creatures with rounded shapes and friendly expressions. They still have a touch of whimsy and mystical allure, without the nightmare-ish expressions!

This route was of a particular interest to me as they could be used across multiple platforms such as: animated socials, back of pack voucher system to collect plush toy versions of the creatures, storybooks, website assets and more.
